WHY ALOUD
Advanced therapy should not require leaving your life behind.
Families seeking highly specialized pediatric therapy are often asked to travel, join long waitlists, or fit their child into a standard weekly model. Aloud was created to offer a more personal approach: specialized care delivered at home or through telehealth, with treatment shaped around the child rather than the system.
Sammi’s background in intensive pediatric rehabilitation influences how she evaluates, treats, and measures progress. Care may include focused intensive blocks, ongoing weekly sessions, or a hybrid plan designed around a specific communication, recovery, speech, or feeding goal.
Complex cases are welcome.
Aloud is built for children whose communication, neurological, motor, or feeding needs may extend beyond a standard therapy approach.
Care happens where life happens.
In-home therapy allows communication systems, feeding strategies, and caregiver coaching to be practiced within the child’s real routines and environment.
Expertise should remain personal.
Families work directly with a dedicated clinician who understands the child’s history, goals, communication system, and stage of recovery.
Intensive-caliber therapy, delivered at home.

SAMMI’S APPROACH
Communication is bigger than speech.
Sammi practices from a total-communication perspective. Spoken language, speech-generating devices, eye gaze, switches, gestures, signs, and other methods are all valid ways for a child to express themselves.
Find the right way in.
For children with motor differences, selecting the right access method can be the foundation of communication. Sammi evaluates options such as touch, switch scanning, eye gaze, head tracking, partner-assisted scanning, and wearable access technology.
Build communication for real life.
A device or strategy is only useful when it fits the child’s vocabulary, routines, physical access, family, school, and everyday environments.
Train the whole team.
Parents, caregivers, aides, therapists, and school teams may need practical coaching so communication, feeding, or recovery strategies continue beyond the treatment session.
Sammi works across major AAC systems and manufacturers, recommending the system and access method that best fit the child rather than remaining loyal to one platform.
